Job summary

Latham & Watkins in Washington, DC seeks an Associate Recruiting Manager to lead the local office's recruiting efforts, oversee summer program and new associates, and align hiring with strategic firm goals.

The role requires strong leadership, legal recruitment experience, and ability to manage a team; hybrid schedule with in-office presence is possible.

Eligible candidates will have 7+ years in legal recruitment and supervisory experience, plus proficiency with MS Office and ATS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in legal recruitment or professional services
• Minimum seven (7) years of cumulative experience
• Minimum two (2) years’ supervisory experience in a related field

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the associate recruiting function for the local office, supporting the Recruiting Committee in hiring summer associates and new associates and judicial clerks when applicable
• Staying abreast of employment laws, market trends, and competitor recruiting policies
• Building and maintaining relationships with firm leaders and regional law schools
• Overseeing a team that supports the manager and the firm in all endeavors
• Promoting effective work practices and teamwork
• Protecting confidential information and maintaining data security
