Inceed, a staffing direct placement firm, is seeking a skilled Database Developer in Houston to support a large legacy upgrade. You will work hands-on with AS400/iSeries/DB2 environments, writing and optimizing stored procedures while improving performance and stability of critical systems.

The role offers onsite interviews in Houston and may be onsite or remote for the right candidate, with collaboration across teams to modernize and stabilize essential databases.

Qualifications

Experience building and developing databases.
Background in Oracle development.
Exposure to DB2, AS400 or iSeries environments.
Experience with stored procedures.
Knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Understanding of indexing best practices.
Familiarity with triggers and commit control.
Ability to work onsite in Houston for interviews.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain database solutions within DB2/AS400 environments.
Support a legacy application during its upgrade transition.
