Job summary

Joby is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Partner to serve as an onsite People Team expert in Dayton, Ohio. You will proactively manage employee relations, investigate issues, and coach managers while partnering with the General Manager on strategic HR initiatives.

The role requires 6+ years of HR experience in employee relations, deep knowledge of Ohio labor laws, and the ability to work across time zones with Pacific Time alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of progressive HR experience focusing on employee relations and conflict management.
• Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and Ohio labor laws.
• Proven consultative HR experience working autonomously to resolve complex challenges.
• Strong analytical and coaching abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Dayton, OH, with up to 10% travel and Pacific Time coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships to promote positive employee relations and engagement.
• Partner with General Manager on strategic HR initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with thorough documentation.
• Guide conflict resolution, corrective actions, and performance management.
• Lead development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
• Serve as onsite subject matter expert on Ohio labor regulations.
• Support onboarding, recruitment coordination, and site tours.
• Assist with compensation, benefits, leave administration, and special projects.
