Potbelly Corporate is seeking a Daytime Team Member in New Lenox, IL to deliver fast, friendly service and high-quality food. The role supports multiple stations, from prep to cashier, in a bustling, customer-focused setting.

The position requires 16+ years of age, strong communication, and the ability to stand and lift as needed. Applicants must meet safety requirements and be available for day shifts at the 8am–4pm window.

Qualifications

• Ages 16+ required.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset in fast-paced setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen (knife skills a plus).
• Ability to manage allergens (peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
• Team player.
• Ability to stand/walk 3 hours or more; lift 10–50 lbs.
• Illinois applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations as directed by Shift Leader or Manager.
• Follow health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream).
• Operate automatic slicer if 18 or older.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register; balance and follow cash handling procedures.
• Handle customer complaints/issues effectively.
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
