Job summary

Atherton Elementary is seeking a qualified intervention aide to provide targeted ELA and Math support for students, under the guidance of AES Literacy & Math Coaches. A Bachelor's degree and Michigan teaching credential are required, with elementary teaching experience preferred.

The role focuses on small group and one-on-one instruction, maintaining confidentiality, documenting progress, and planning lessons from assessment data to address individual needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid State of Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate or retired elementary teacher status preferred.
• Knowledge of elementary ELA and Math standards, and foundational reading, writing, and math instruction.
• Knowledge of structured literacy aligned with the Science of Reading; familiarity with Bridges Math intervention preferred.
• Clear criminal and professional background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and/or small group targeted skill instruction in ELA and Math
• Work effectively under the immediate direction of the AES Literacy & Math Coaches
• Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding all students
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain program materials
• Complete required documentation, assessments, and program evaluation
• Strategically plan lessons in collaboration with intervention staff, teachers, and coaches using assessment data to meet the individual needs of students
