Job summary

Westside Elementary School is seeking a Teacher, Academic Intervention for grades K-5. You will provide targeted instruction in reading, mathematics, science, and language arts, focusing on tier 2 and tier 3 students using data-driven approaches.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) and an Elementary Education certificate or eligibility. Strong planning, collaboration with staff, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
• Florida Educator’s Certificate or eligible to hold one (Elementary Education)
• Experience in elementary teaching and best-practice interventions
• Ability to implement Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions using data-driven methods
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Valid Florida Driver’s License or willing to obtain one within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Implement district initiatives in reading, math, and language arts
• Work with students in small groups or individually to address needs
• Match instruction to learner needs and use data to guide interventions
• Collaborate with school leadership to align with School Improvement Plan
• Prepare reports and maintain records efficiently
• Participate in district in-service on FCAT and intervention strategies
• Lead and support PST processes for tier 2/3 students
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Principal
