Job summary

Jobot Consulting is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 2-month contract engagement to support a fast-paced payroll function. You will process weekly payroll in Dayforce, handle bonuses and 401(k) deductions, and ensure accuracy across hourly and salaried employees.

This on-site role offers hybrid work after training and potential for long-term growth within the payroll function. Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on Dayforce payroll processing experience is REQUIRED.
• Must have personally run payroll within Dayforce; implementation, system support, or supervisory-only experience will not qualify.
• Experience independently processing weekly payroll.
• Strong payroll auditing and reconciliation experience.
• Experience with incentive, bonus, commission, or other variable-pay processing.
• Hands-on 401(k) payroll deduction and reconciliation experience.
• Empower experience strongly preferred; comparable 401(k) recordkeeper experience considered.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
• Ability to become productive immediately with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll directly within Dayforce.
• Prepare, enter, review, and validate payroll data.
• Upload and validate bonuses, commissions, incentives, and other variable compensation.
• Perform pre-payroll audits to identify errors prior to submission.
• Complete post-payroll audits and payroll reconciliations.
• Research and correct payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Process and reconcile 401(k) deductions, funding, and impounds.
• Assist with payroll reporting and related reconciliations.
• Work with hourly and salaried employee populations.
• Maintain accuracy while meeting strict payroll processing deadlines.
• Utilize Excel for payroll audits, reconciliations, and data validation.
