Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker at Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Pompano Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.

Pay : $19 per hour.

Eligible employees will receive a $1,000 Essential Skills Training Incentive upon successfully completing the required training within their first 90 days of employment.

What you will do

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors.
• Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
• Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position.
• OR 60 hours of college education and possess a Driver's License.

Schedule

Our Youth Care staff work 12-hour shifts.
