Job summary

South Florida Youth Academy in Miami seeks a dedicated Youth Care Worker to provide safe, structured supervision for high‑risk male youth aged 14–18. You will document behaviors and support daily activities, ensuring a constructive environment that promotes growth.

The role emphasizes mentorship, active engagement in recreation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to help youth progress toward positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience with at‑risk youth or 60 college hours.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour security and supervision to ensure youth safety.
• Monitor and document youth behaviors.
• Participate in and supervise Youth during sports and recreation.
• Mentor and support youth in learning and development.

South Florida Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk male youth aged 14 to 18who require behavioral/mental health,substance abuse, andmajor disorderservices. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program.

Pay : Starting at $19 per hour.

What you will do:

• Provide 24‑hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors.
• Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
• Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered, you should:

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have one year of experience working with at‑risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education.
• Possess a Driver’s License.

Schedule: Rotating Schedule.
