Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• RN Texas or compact license required.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing completed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient/family education about procedures.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preop meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification per policy.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition and follow-up.
