Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks an on-site yard operator to safely operate heavy equipment, perform pre-use inspections, and support stockpile management. You will load trucks, monitor inventory, and adhere to safety and environmental procedures while supporting plant production goals. Eligible candidates must meet post-offer safety screenings and be able to work in outdoor, industrial settings.

What You'll Be Doing

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and comply with all company policies and safety requirements.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely enter, operate, and exit heavy mobile equipment multiple times per shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment within established safety guidelines.
• Ability to maintain situational awareness and respond effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in varying outdoor and industrial conditions.
