Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Wire Harness Assembler in Decatur, AL on a contract role with daytime hours (Monday–Friday). The job focuses on building wire harnesses and cable assemblies, following blueprints and work instructions with precision.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling wire harnesses or cable assemblies in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and written work instructions.
• Perform precise wire stripping, crimping, routing, and cable routing to meet defined specifications and quality standards.
• Use hand tools, crimp tools, and measuring tools to build, modify, and finalize harnesses, cables, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Label wires, cables, and harnesses accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability.
• Handle small parts and components, applying fine motor skills and hand dexterity to complete repetitive assembly tasks consistently.
• Conduct basic quality inspection of completed assemblies, verifying correct wiring, connector pinning, and overall workmanship.
