Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology class preferred.
• Six months experience as division secretary or related roles.
• Fluently reads, writes and speaks English with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and receptionist duties on the unit including order transcription and medical records management.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and complete admissions, discharges, and transfer processes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians and ancillary departments.
• Set priorities and work as part of a team to ensure quality patient care.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and follow directions from supervisors.
