Community Hospital North in Oklahoma City is seeking a PRN Unit Secretary for the Day Shift. The role provides clerical and receptionist support on the unit, including order transcription, patient admissions/discharges, and maintenance of medical records in accordance with HIPAA.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a medical terminology class preferred.
• Six months experience as division secretary preferred, or trained as medical records or admitting clerk.
• Fluent English with good oral and written communication; computer skills required.
• BLS healthcare provider required within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Dysrhythmia class required within 30 days for applicable clinical departments.

Responsabilidades

• Provides clerical and receptionist duties on the unit, including accurate order transcription and medical records management per HIPAA.
• Manages admissions, discharges, and transfer processes; answers phones and assists patient call system.
• Maintains clean and stocked work areas; supports the hospital team to ensure quality patient care.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians; prioritizes tasks for efficiency.
• Adheres to job description and demonstrates competency in duties.
