Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room, full-time, evening shift with on-call. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience, and CPR certification. National certification preferred at most Memorial locations.

New graduates or students in the second year of an accredited program are encouraged to apply; clinical ladder advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• National certification and CPR certification are required within 6 months of graduation or start date.
• Maintains current CPR certification.

Position Type: On-site

*** $20,000 Sign on Bonus Available ***

This is a Full-Time, Evening Shift Position (3:45pm - 11:15pm), w/Call.

Completion of a 2-year accredited Surgical Technologist program, or equivalent surgical technologist experience is REQUIRED.

New Graduate Surg Tech students, and Surg Tech students enrolled in the 2nd year of an accredited Surgical Technologist program are encouraged to apply!

The Main Operating Room Surgical Technologist performs "scrub" technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room. Assists with the draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced. Demonstrates knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures. Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program, or in the last semester of an approved program is required.
• National certification and CPR certification are required within 6 months of graduation from recognized program, or within 6 months start date of employment.
• Maintains current CPR certification
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred at all Memorial locations, but is required at Decatur Memorial.
• Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Transparency $27.52 - $42.65
• Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role.
