Job summary

Memorial Health’s Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the on-site evening shift (3:45pm - 11:15pm) with call. The role requires completion of a 2-year accredited program or equivalent experience.

New graduates are encouraged to apply and certification must be obtained within 6 months of graduation or start date. The OR scrub technologist assists with draping, instrument utilization, and sterile technique for scheduled surgeries.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program, or in the last semester of an approved program is required.
• National certification and CPR certification are required within 6 months of graduation from recognized program, or within 6 months start date of employment.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred at all Memorial locations, but is required at Decatur Memorial.
• Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Main Operating Room Surgical Technologist performs scrub technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Main Operating Room.
• Assists with draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures.
• Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Transparency $27.52 - $42.65
• Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role.
