Job summary

Prima Medical Foundation dba MarinHealth Medical Network is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to maintain physician clinics and surgery schedules, provide direct assistance to physicians, and manage communications with staff, patients, physicians and the Practice Leader.

You will also coordinate with local hospitals and outpatient facilities while leading efforts to standardize scheduling practices across locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Experience: At least two years of related medical office experience.
• Prior referral and authorization experience.
• Experience with and proficiency in use of electronic medical record systems (Allscripts a plus).
• Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling surgeries, procedures and colonoscopies.
• Maintaining physician schedules to assure efficient work flow.
• Direct assistance to physicians and administrative support.
• Obtaining necessary authorizations for surgeries, procedures and colonoscopies.
• Communicating with patients, staff and providers clearly and professionally.
