Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Network seeks a Surgery Scheduler to maintain physician clinics and surgery schedules. You will assist physicians, manage communications with staff, patients, and facilities, and help standardize scheduling practices across locations.

The role requires strong medical office experience, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and excellent customer service. Expect day shifts in the Marin County area with potential travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of related medical office experience.
• Prior referral and authorization experience preferred.
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes a plus.
• Experience with Allscripts EMR or similar systems is beneficial.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read, write, do arithmetic and apply reasoning at HS level.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments, surgeries, procedures, and colonoscopies.
• Maintain physician schedules and ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide administrative support to physicians and obtain authorizations.
• Answer calls with excellent customer service and welcome patients.
• Coordinate with hospital/outpatient facilities and Practice Leader.
• Lead projects to standardize scheduling practices organization-wide.
• Maintain orderly waiting areas and clinic spaces as needed.
