Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Day Shift at a corporate building in New York, NY. You will patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide exceptional service to tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities include unarmed patrols of common areas, monitoring access points, documenting observations, and responding calmly to incidents. Must meet NYS licensing and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements compliant with state/local regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas and entrances.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and document observations for reporting.
• Maintain accurate patrol logs and incident reports.
