Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Evening Corporate Property Patrol in New York. You will protect a commercial real estate location, patrol interiors and exteriors, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

This full-time position requires NY license, background check, and the ability to respond calmly to incidents while documenting activities for leadership and site management.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least six months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain professional interactions with building occupants and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site requirements.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
