Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer - Corporate Property Patrol to safeguard clients across commercial real estate locations. The role emphasizes visible presence, access control, and professional communication with tenants, visitors, and staff.

As an unarmed patrol officer, you will perform patrolling, report incidents, and maintain security procedures during Day Time shifts. Pay rate is $19.85 per hour; full-time schedule with consistency and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience preferred.
• Have X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property interiors, lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, building perimeters, and common areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with directing guests and vendors throughout the property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional presence at the location.
