Chartwells K12 is hiring for a FOOD UNIT LEAD in Junction City, KS. The role coordinates dining operations, leads food-service staff, and ensures quality service and compliance with sanitation standards. Shift times are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with both full-time and part-time opportunities and competitive hourly pay.

Experience in food service is required. Location is Geary USD 475, with online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Prior Food Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages according to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Plans menus and ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email; trains and coordinates staff to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Manages schedules, reports (inventory, payroll, time-keeping) and cash handling as per policy.
• Orders supplies, directs sanitation and safety, and maintains kitchen and dining area cleanliness.
