Chartwells K-12 is hiring for a Food Unit Lead in Leavenworth, KS. The role coordinates activities of other food-service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.

The position requires prior cooking experience and offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with varied hours. Responsibilities include supervising food preparation and service, training staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and company

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience is required.
• Provides quality customer service to guests and staff.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverages.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages according to standards.
• Responds to customer complaints in person or via email.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Manages daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, time-keeping).
• Maintains proper cash handling per the Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources.
• Ensures sanitation and safety compliance in facility and staff.
• Develops sanitation schedules and enforces cleaning protocols.
• Issues written and oral instructions; assists in orientation of staff.
