Job summary

Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit. This fast-paced 25-bed unit cares for same-day/outpatient patients from pre/post-op surgical and cardiac care to infusions.

The RN leads care, coordinates with the interdisciplinary team and ensures safety and quality. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, planning and evaluating care, and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced short-stay setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Mentors other staff and fosters teamwork.
• Delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff skill.
• Uses nursing process to assess and plan care.
