Job summary

Heywood Healthcare Inc. in Gardner, MA is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a 32-hour day shift (7:00am–3:30pm) with every third weekend and every other holiday. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is offered.

You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. Minimum qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program and MA RN licensure; ACLS or BLS with ACLS within 60 days is

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current MA RN License is required.
• ACLS on hire or active BLS with AHA ACLS within 60 days.
• Pediatric experience preferred or telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient goals.
• Provides patient care based on standards, policies and procedures.
• Delivers patient/family teaching based on identified needs.
• Prepares patients for discharge with appropriate resources.
• Delegates and supervises nursing interventions among staff.
• Maintains thorough documentation of data and responses to care.
• Reports on assigned patients to health care team to ensure continuity.
• Participates in daily rounds and multidisciplinary planning.
• Safely administers medications and monitors effects per orders.
• Recognizes safety risks and advises on error reduction.
