Job summary

Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA, is seeking a registered nurse for 32-hour day shifts to provide patient-centered care in our medical-surgical unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions, collaborate with the health-care team, and support patients and families through discharge planning.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a MA RN license; ACLS/BLS are required or obtainable; pediatric telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 yr Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS with AHA ACLS within 60 days.
• PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess (and reassess), plans, implements, and evaluates nursing interventions for patient goals.
• Provide patient care based on standards of care, protocols, and policies.
• Document data, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
• Coordinate discharge planning with patients and families.
• Delegate and supervise nursing interventions as appropriate.
• Participate in daily rounds and multidisciplinary planning.
