Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge in a 7am-7:30pm day shift. The role covers assessment, care planning, discharge planning and supervision of care within a busy clinical setting.

Requires active Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS is required if not current. BSN is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency level.
