Job summary

Westpark Springs is a 72‑bed behavioral health hospital in Richmond, Texas, seeking a House Supervisor (RN) to oversee nursing operations and patient care on the day shift. You will lead staffing, ensure compliance with regulations, and support department managers with education and discipline.

Responsibilities include direct care as needed, scheduling, coaching staff, and maintaining documentation. CPR and de‑escalation certs are required within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN license as required by state regulations.
• 1 year in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• 1 year in a nursing leadership/management role preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric health-care with relevant patient care preferred.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Determines staffing levels based on census and acuity.
• Provides direct patient care as needed.
• Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving.
• May assume patient assignments to meet needs.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness and outcomes.
• Responds to complaints and manages through proper channels.
• Performs role-specific duties and coordinates transfers.
• Ensures equipment and supplies for safe care.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations.
• Fosters professional growth and development.
• Initiates weekend case management and discharge planning.
