Job summary

The Sanctuary at The Woodlands is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership across our adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric units.

The on-site Nursing Leader supports safe staffing, patient flow, clinical decisions, emergency response, and staff accountability during the assigned shift. We are hiring immediately and offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license eligible to practice in Alabama.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain as required.
• Psychiatric/behavioral-health nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous charge nurse, house supervisor, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide nursing oversight during assigned shifts.
• Monitor staffing, census, patient acuity, admissions, discharges, and 1:1 observations.
• Conduct rounds and identify clinical, staffing, safety, and operational concerns.
• Provide direction and support to nursing staff and charge nurses.
• Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies, including Code Blue and Code Gray events.
• Support safe and timely admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Monitor nursing documentation, medication practices, patient safety, and policy compliance.
• Provide real-time coaching and accountability to nursing staff.
• Escalate significant clinical or operational concerns to the DON and Administrator/CEO.
