Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN license as required by Texas regulations.
• One year experience in psychiatric health care preferred.
• CPR certification required within 30 days and before patient contact.
• De-escalation training preferred within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings.
• Oversee and supervise the shift and staff.
• Demonstrate leadership through delegation and patient groups.
• Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and care is delivered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond, including physician notification.
• Administer medications per hospital policy.
• Deliver empathetic, respectful patient interactions.
• Document medical necessity accurately in records.
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
