Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an RN to provide compassionate, holistic care in a clinical setting, supporting the Mercyhealth nursing mission. The role is 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off and 8-hour flex shift between 5:30am and 5pm.

Responsibilities include administering medications, applying the nursing process, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Requires ADN, 1–2 years hospital RN experience, and active RN licensure with CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years of RN hospital experience minimum.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice; CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP or other unit certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities and peer review processes.
• Escalates patient safety concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
