Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as required by state law.
• AHA BLS certification; ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinates and integrates patient care based on the nursing process.
• Directs care according to safety standards, risk management, and infection control with a focus on discharge planning.
• Coordinates and plans patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administers medications safely and per hospital policy.
• Fulfills hospital incident command system responsibilities during emergencies.
• Knows hospital emergency codes and adheres to related policies.
