Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management, LLC in Indiana is seeking a reliable Qualified Medication Aide to join our long-term care team. You will administer medications to residents, provide direct personal care, and serve as a safety checkpoint on the nursing floor.

The role requires a current QMA certification in Indiana, a CNA certification, and a valid BLS/CPR. You will work full-time day shifts (6 am–6 pm) on site, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• QMA certification valid in state of practice.
• CNA certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Indiana ISDH-approved QMA course completed and listed on the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry.
• Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented with medication safety focus.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (oral, topical, ophthalmic, nasal, transdermal) per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration at every pass.
• Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report to the supervising nurse.
• Document medications accurately in the MAR.
• Assist with blood glucose monitoring and report results to the nurse.
• Perform narcotic counts with the supervising nurse at shift change.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal care.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake/output.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Follow infection control, safety and facility compliance standards.
