Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibility.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively enforce applicable regulations and policies.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers.
• Proficient leadership skills.
• Able to train and motivate department personnel.
• Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department.
• Ability to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day shift plant operations to ensure efficient production and meeting quality/quantity targets.
• Directs team members with respect to production volume, cost, quality, and schedules.
• Produce high quality products at lowest cost following best manufacturing practices.
• Provide a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Identify and resolve operating problems to minimize impact on operations.
• Cooperate with all departments for coordinated operations.
• Manage inventory usage and department costs.
• Maintain records (timecards, downtime, absentee records).
• Enforce company policies fairly and consistently.
• Encourage employee suggestions to improve production, quality, safety, and cost.
• Keep Operations Manager informed of issues.
• Maintain regular department meetings and production records.
• Ensure efficient/material utilization and waste reduction.
• Set accountabilities and performance goals.
• Perform other duties as required.
