Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Operates processing/equipment to produce product within QA guidelines and to high quality standards.
• Properly mixes ingredients; monitors temperature/moisture and makes adjustments; verifies product integrity.
• Operates and shuts down equipment per procedures, including changeovers and preventive maintenance.
• Communicates and/or escalates quality issues to appropriate team members.
• Reads batch sheets, follows recipes, and accurately weighs raw materials.
• Monitors temperatures, times, item numbers and weights; makes adjustments as needed.
• Checks for foreign matter and ensures sanitation during cleanups and changeovers.
• Tracks and disposes of waste according to procedures.
• Moves raw ingredients using forklift or pallet jack.
• Maintains raw material levels and communicates needs to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains inventory usage and disposal of cutter blades; keeps blades secure.
• Tests and oils processing equipment; maintains oil levels and checks heat exchangers.
• Adheres to safety and hygiene guidelines and keeps workspace clean.
• Performs other duties as required.
