Job summary

Amcor is seeking Processing Operators for the Day shift (7:00am–7:00pm) in Maryland. The role offers a rotating schedule with 15 workdays per month and includes a comprehensive benefits package and startup wage of $21.00–$23.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include operating stretch blow-molding machines, inspections, packaging, forklift movement, and GMP/SQF compliance to ensure safe, quality production. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have excellent attendance.
• Must have good housekeeping skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have knowledge of product identification and have basic math skills.
• Fork-lift experience.
• Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically)
• Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
• Must be able to complete routine paperwork accurately.
• Work with automated equipment.
• Ability to operate a scanner.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality containers.
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning and lubrication of machine assemblies.
• Inspect containers using test equipment and visual checks.
• Pack containers into boxes and stack to form four-foot high units.
• Safely operate lift trucks to move materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
• Support machine adjustments, change materials and assist in changeovers.
• Fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders.
• Adhere to GMP and SQF compliance requirements.
• Comply with Food Safety standards.
