Amcor is hiring for a Night Shift Processing Operator to run stretch blow-molding lines, inspect containers, and perform packaging duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in the United States. The role includes standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional overtime.

The position emphasizes safety, quality controls, and collaboration with the team to meet production goals and maintain GMP/SQF and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent attendance.
• Good housekeeping skills.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of product identification and have basic math skills.
• Fork-lift experience.
• Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically)
• Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
• Must be able to complete routine paperwork accurately.
• Work with automated equipment.
• Ability to operate a scanner.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers.
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assembles.
• Perform container inspections using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques.
• Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications & stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units.
• Safely operate lift trucks to move materials.
• Perform as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment.
• Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware).
• Willing to fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders.
• Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
• Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.
