Job summary

NRG Energy in Lebanon, PA is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor – Operations to lead plant operations for an 800 MW 2×1 combined cycle facility. You will supervise operations personnel, oversee real‑time plant performance, enforce safety rules, and ensure adherence to Conduct of Operations and regulatory requirements.

The role includes coordinating outages, directing startup/shutdown activities, reviewing logs, and managing LOTO programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years CRO or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens combustion turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, generators, instrumentation, and water chemistry.
• Siemens T3000 DCS experience.
• ZLD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Operations personnel during day shift.
• Provide field presence during high-risk evolutions (LOTO, startups, outages).
• Enforce plant procedures, Conduct of Operations standards, and safety rules.
• Perform verification walkdowns as required.
• Ensure quality shift turnover and accurate communication of plant status.
• Review and approve time-off requests and overtime assignments.
• Holds personnel accountable for performance expectations and procedural compliance.
• Manage operation of 800 MW 2×1 plant and BOP, including ZLD.
• Oversee LOTO program during shift and plant startups/shutdowns.
