Job summary

NRG Energy is looking for a Day Shift Supervisor - Operations to manage personnel and oversee operations at an 800 MW combined cycle facility in Lebanon, PA. The candidate will ensure safety compliance and operational excellence during day shift activities.

This role requires a strong background in plant operations, supervisory experience, and knowledge of LOTO and energy control procedures. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years Control Room Operator (CRO) or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of Siemens combustion turbines and HRSGs.
• Experience with ZLD systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises operations personnel during day shift.
• Enforces plant procedures and safety rules.
• Manages operation of the facility and compliance with environmental standards.

Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of combined cycle plant operations

Ability to supervise personnel in a union environment

Proficiency in CMMS (Maximo and SAP)

Strong understanding of LOTO and energy control procedures

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree or technical certification
