Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a shift operations leader to assume overall management of an operational shift at our Houston facility. You will supervise personnel, ensure safe and economical unit operation, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
In lieu of degree, a High School Diploma combined with 8 years of operations experience at utility level power plant.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Supports development of technical, leadership and business skills.
Provides regular feedback to employees on performance and opportunities for improvement.
Demonstrates proactive problem solving and safe, compliant operations.
Coordinates unit operations and maintenance activities and communicates with dispatching and other groups.
Leads emergency response coordination and ensures safety and environmental program compliance.
