Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Experience with phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures accurately within established turn-around times.
• Recognizes abnormal situations and acts accordingly to protect patient safety.
• Transports specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
• Answers phone calls and provides information courteously and professionally.
• Maintains specimen integrity and proper documentation.
• Follows safety standards dictated by the hospital and regulatory agencies.
• Participates in continuing education and training.
