Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc. seeks a part-time Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for a 0.8 FTE schedule in a pediatric setting. The role supports RNs and Care Managers by collecting vitals, documenting data, and assisting with patient care in a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift.

Starting pay is $19.10/hour with eligibility for a weekend shift differential of $1.80. CNA certification and CPR/BLS are required; one year of hospital-based patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from a nursing program or equivalent certification/experience.
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report vital signs and screen questions as assigned.
• Assist with patient care tasks, promote safety, and prepare materials for procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
• Ensure unit areas are stocked, cleaned, and organized; perform basic clerical duties.
