Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Night Shift CNA to support pediatric patients under the supervision of an RN or Care Manager. You will collect vital signs, document data, assist with procedures, and help maintain patient safety and confidentiality.

The role requires completion of a fundamentals nursing program or equivalent certification, active Ohio CNA, and BLS CPR certification, with at least one year of inpatient experience. Night shifts, weekends, and holidays apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program, or equivalent certification or experience.
• Active CNA certification in Ohio and current BLS/CPR required.
• One year of patient care experience in hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report vital signs to RN or Care Manager.
• Promote patient safety; assist with procedures and prepare materials.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
• Ensure unit areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete continuing education; may act as preceptor and train staff.
