Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide for a night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with every other weekend. In a typical pay period, you’ll work three weeknight 8-hour shifts and two 8-hour weekend shifts.

Under supervision of an RN or Care Manager, you will collect vitals, document data, assist with procedures, maintain patient safety, and help with basic clerical tasks. Requires CNA certification in Ohio, CPR, and at least one year of recent hospital

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program.
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last three years is preferred or equivalent certification/experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects, documents, and reports vital signs.
• Assists with procedures and maintains patient safety.
• Prepares materials and supplies; maintains clean and stocked environment.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks as necessary.
• May act as a preceptor and train other staff.
