Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Central Scheduler to schedule outpatient diagnostic testing, assist with billing for reimbursement, and help with outpatient registration. The role reports to the Manager Patient Access and supports efficient patient flow.

This full-time, day-shift position requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of clerical experience in a medical setting, plus strong computer skills. Orientation includes classroom time in Springfield, MA for colleagues living within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients.
• Interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms.
• Operate office equipment and use computer systems including database entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and other software applications.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
