Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Manager in Keller, TX to lead daily patient access operations and site-wide registrations, coordinating with the dietician for dietary services.

You will supervise staff, ensure EMTALA, HIPAA compliance, accurate registrations, and data reporting. Strong customer service, English fluency, and EMR experience are required; supervisory experience is a must.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; a four-year degree in business or healthcare is highly preferred.
• Minimum of five years patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting is required.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in health care is required; indirect leadership may be considered if a direct fit.
• Emergency Department registration experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (PPO, POS, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors is required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and EMR experience is required.
• Excellent customer service and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily patient access operations and site-wide registrations to ensure quality and customer service.
• Oversee medical records management and coordination with the registered dietician for dietary services.
• Ensure EMTALA, DNV, HIPAA compliance and accurate data collection for quality measures.
• Hire, train, and supervise patient access staff; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate with regional and corporate partners on special projects and initiatives.
