Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a part‑time ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate imaging and documentation across the lifespan.

You will position patients correctly, operate 2D, M‑mode and Doppler systems, and assist radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures according to departmental standards. ARDMS registration is required or to be obtained within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred, or an allied health program or bachelor’s degree.
• ARDMS registration required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire.
• Mandatory reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations with proper patient positioning and technical factors.
• Operate 2D, M‑mode, and Doppler equipment to document anatomical structures.
• Assist radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures according to protocols.
• Conduct clinical assessments and differentiate normal vs. pathological findings.
• Confirm orders and review requisitions to ensure proper patient preparation and protocol.
