Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Operator in Leavenworth, KS for the 1st shift (7:30am - 4:00pm), Monday through Friday. The role sets up, operates, and maintains packaging equipment to produce gift presentation products, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, complete SAP documentation, and collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs frequently and 65 lbs occasionally.
• Stand and walk approximately 90% of the time.
• Move, twist and perform repetitive motions safely.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate production and packaging machines
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance
• Conduct quality inspections on in-process and finished goods; remove defective products
• Accurately complete production, defect, and shipping documentation in SAP
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems and drive results
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety protocols
• Support multiple assignments and departments as needed; demonstrate flexibility
• Track and replenish packaging materials to minimize downtime
• Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities
• Learn and apply quality systems and product specifications
