Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Leavenworth, KS seeks a Printing Operator for the Leavenworth Production Center. The role supports the Lead Printing Operator in operating a high-speed, multi-color press that prints wrapping paper and tissue.

You will set up and adjust the press to reproduce high-quality designs while monitoring for issues and maintaining production records. The position requires shift work (3:30pm-12am or 11:30pm-8am), Monday through Friday, with overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months successful experience as a Merit 17 Print Apprentice OR Minimum 1 year experience running equipment at specified production operator levels OR equivalent external experience
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry items weighing up to 25-50 lbs. frequently, and 50–100 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk 95% of the time
• Ability to pass a color perception test
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and print issues to meet customer standards
• Assist in press setup to achieve color targets with minimal waste
• Run the press during breaks and lunches with a Lead Printing Operator
• Perform quality checks including preflight, sampling, and removal of salvage/spoilage
• Prepare production paperwork and ensure shipping documentation accuracy; complete press maintenance and cleaning
