Ashe Memorial Hospital in North Carolina is seeking an Operating Room Technician to assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures and to ensure the surgical suite is prepared and sterile. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to AORN/AAMI/OSHA standards.

You will maintain instrument sterility, manage instrument counts, and collaborate with nurses and circulators to deliver efficient case turnover while protecting patient privacy and complying with hospital

Formación

• High School graduate; Surgical Technology Program preferred.
• Knowledge of asepsis and sterile technique in surgery.
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technology Program preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensure operating room is prepared for procedures.
• Maintain sterile instruments and equipment per standards.
• Verify supplies and instrument counts; notify discrepancies.
• Protect patient privacy and safety; observe infection control.
• Open and organize supplies per physician preference cards.
• Coordinate with OR nursing team to ensure efficiency.

Surgical Technology Program

Asepsis knowledge in surgery

NC CNA certification / Certified Operating Room Tech / Certified Medical Assistant or Paramedic

BLS certification
